The membership year for The Marketing Group runs from April to the end of March in any given year. Usually, when we refer to the past year we mean the fiscal rather than the calendar. The year 2005 has been such a memorable time that we have decided to break with tradition and give you a taster of the highlights of the past 12 months. Since January 2005, The Marketing Group has organised 14 events across the East Midlands. These have included our programme of forum events, a major marketing conference, and a business dinner. Picking out the highlights has proved difficult because all the events have been well supported. All our speakers have risen to the challenge. In consequence approval ratings have been very high.

The key to success for any business involves the ability to retain and grow existing customers and to secure and grow new ones. The advent of a plethora of computer based systems for Key Account Management and Customer Relationship Management only provide the tools to keep track of the process. These alone will never provide a complete solution to an organisations business needs.
