More and more business managers are realising that to compete in todays ever more competitive marketplaces, they must ensure that their business planning and marketing is more effective.
Marketing is still regarded, by some, as a cost against the bottom line rather than an investment in the future. But the successful companies all have one thing in common - they are driven by a desire to satisfy the needs of their customers.
This is the central plank of the marketing message.
The Marketing Group has worked extensively with growing, small and medium businesses to create a greater awareness of how the practice of marketing can make a positive impact on their organisations.
This work identified the existence of a knowledge gap between the need for practical, hands on assistance and some of the excellent, theory based qualification routes offered by educational establishments and professional bodies such as The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
The Practical Guide to Marketing Learning Programme is aimed at bridging the gap. The 14 Learning modules have been designed to provide practical guidance and to allow a greater understanding of how the benefits of a marketing approach in business can be realised.
The final, optional, accreditation Marketing Action Planning Module is designed to enable participants to set out a simple but effective marketing action plan. The plan will be assessed by a qualified marketer who will make recommnedations on possible improvements that might be made to make the plan more robust. Candidates who undertake the accreditation stage will receive Cetificate of Attainment from The Marketing Group.
